Technos is a world-class expert in subsurface site characterization. Incorporated in 1971, Technos is a small, woman-owned business that provides expertise to government and private-sector clients for environmental, geotechnical, and hydrogeologic investigations. We have extensive experience at a broad range of sites and levels of complexity, including karst (sinkhole and subsidence), abandoned infrastructure, landfills, mines, marine environments, and Superfund sites. Technos follows strict quality control procedures and adheres to the Expedited Site Characterization philosophy adopted by the Department of Energy. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Technos is conveniently located for work around the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Technos has pioneered many of the applications of geophysical methods for site characterization and has been an integral part of the ASTM committees developing geophysical guidelines. We maintain a full inventory of geophysical equipment that includes electromagnetics, geophysical logging, ground penetrating radar, magnetics, microgravity, natural potential, resistivity, and seismic. Most critical to the success in supporting our clients are the senior, experienced professionals who are sensitive to the issues of geologic and hydrologic uncertainty and posses the skill and persistence to pursue them.
